SA: US military lawyer pledges 100 per cent for Hicks

The US military lawyer assigned to DAVID HICKS says he will give 100 per cent to ensure
justice for the Australian terrorist suspect.

Marine Corps Major MICHAEL MORI and HICKS' Australian lawyer STEPHEN KENNY have met
in Washington to plan their five-day visit with HICKS at the US military prison at Guantanamo
Bay in Cuba.

Both lawyers have been gagged by the Pentagon from talking to the media about specifics
of the case, or the military court procedure.

Twenty-eight-year-old HICKS has been held by US forces without charge since being captured
with Taliban forces in Afghanistan in December 2001.

The Adelaide man last week was the first of about 660 terrorist suspects at the military
camp to be assigned a lawyer.

Major MORI will accompany Mr KENNY on a five-day visit to the American naval base starting
tomorrow.
