-Top media executives to speak at e-G8 meeting.

26 May 2011 -- A group of top media and Internet company executives, including Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) chairman Eric Schmidt and Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg, will speak at the Group of Eight summit in France on Thursday, the Financial Times reported.

French president Nicolas Sarkozy organised on Tuesday and Wednesday a so-called e-G8 meeting in Paris aimed at preparing the world leaders for discussing technological issues at the G8 meeting in Deauville.

The one-hour meeting between the business leaders and the heads of the G8 nations, including Sarkozy, US president Barack Obama and British prime minister David Cameron, will focus on views for the future of Internet and on ways for governments to boost growth and innovation.
